Noah Degarmo

Noah DeGarmo is very grateful to have achieved his lifetime goal: to be a practicing physician who is also active in music. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Cornell University, the Carlisle, Massachusetts, native graduated medical school at Columbia University and completed his residency at Northwestern University. He currently holds a position at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Dr. DeGarmo grew up studying the piano and longed for opportunities to perform after college. This led him to embark upon the amateur competition circuit in 2010. Since 2021 he has been studying under concert pianist, Alessandro Mazzamuto. Most recently he was a semifinalist and jury discretionary award winner at the 2022 Cliburn International Amateur Piano Competition and received first prize in the 2022 Harmonia International Amateur Piano Competition. In 2019 he co-founded the Boulanger Piano Quintet in Dallas, composed of fellow physician musicians. He recently debuted as soloist for Gershwin’s Second Rhapsody with the World Doctors Orchestra in their 2023 October Dallas concert. In 2024 he performed Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto third movement with Pianolink Orchestra in Milan and a solo recital in Dallas at Moody Performance Hall.
