Olivia Herr is a 13-year-old pianist and 7th-grade student who has been playing piano since Kindergarten. Now in her eighth year of studying piano, she is currently learning under the guidance of Dr. Helena Aung. This year, Olivia is excited to participate in the Charleston Music Competition for the first time, adding to her experience from other competitions she has attended over the years.
She finds inspiration in the works of classical composers like Liszt, Debussy, and Beethoven, whose music has helped shape her love for piano. In addition to classical music, Olivia also enjoys playing pop music, including songs by Taylor Swift and themes from movies. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and sharing her music as she grows in her musical journey.
