Owen Smith is a 15 year old from the Washington D.C. area. He has been playing classical piano for over 9 years and asked to play piano for over a year before he started lessons! In his free time, Owen enjoys piano, basketball, traveling, and hanging out with friends. Piano gives Owen a sense of accomplishment and has taught him the importance of discipline and hard work. During the summer, he has attended advanced piano programs such as Leon Fleisher Academy, John Hopkins, Interlochen, and George Mason University. Owen enjoys sharing his music with others by performing at concerts, nursing homes and fundraisers and has had the opportunity to perform at the German Embassy. He is also a recipient of the Sousa Scholarship at Gonzaga College High School and is part of the Applied Piano program which allows him additional opportunities to perform through his high school years.
