
Parnian Rezaei (1995) is an Iranian pianist, music educator, and performer currently based in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is fluent in English and Persian. She performs regularly as a soloist and collaborative pianist and is an active piano instructor with over nine years of experience. Parnian started music at the age of 7 and started piano at the age of 9. have both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in piano performance from University of Tehran -the most prestigious University in Iran-, and University of South Florida respectively. She is now pursuing an Artist Certificate in Piano at the University of Tennessee, with the focus being on performance , which is her passion.
She has appeared in numerous concerts in Iran, the United States, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Northern Ireland. She was invited to perform in the Steinway series at the University of South Florida in February 2022, where she played solo and ensemble piano. She participated in an exchange program with Utrecht Conservatory in March of that year while attending the University of South Florida, where she took masterclasses, harpsichord lessons, and pianoforte lessons from the conservatory professors, including Henry Kelder and Siebe Henstra. In July 2022, she attended and performed at the Prague Piano Festival. Parnian also visited the Derry International Music Festival in July 2023, where he gave two successful performances of classical composers’ works as well as modern and unconventional piano repertoire. In March 2024, she received first place at the Knoxville International Piano Festival and Competition.
In addition to solo performing, Parnian is an active collaborative pianist. Some of her collaborative piano experience includes vocal and instrumental accompanist at the University of South Florida, Tehran music high school, Tehran Flute Competition, Part Music Academy, and individual students. She was also the Pavane Ensemble’s pianist, with which She competed in the University of Tehran chamber music competition in May 2018 and had a performance at the Schubert Festival in Shiraz, Iran, in May 2019.
Besides performing, Parnian has a passion for teaching. She has taught piano for more than nine years and has worked with a wide range of pupils, ages 4 to adults, with various musical backgrounds. She also worked at Tehran Music high school from 2018 to 2021, teaching keyboard skills before moving to the United States for further studies. She also has performed at weddings and church services.
