Qi Liang

Qi Liang is a second-year of DMA student at TTU, who studied under Professor Dolter and is currently with Dr. Rebecca Hays. Qi has finished her two solo recitals in the DMA program. So far, she has participated in the performance of three operas and won the honor of “Special Mention” in the professional group in the 2022 London Classical Music Competition.

Before arriving at Tech, she was an associate professor and master’s supervisor at the School of Art of the North University of China. She taught three undergraduate courses in Vocal Performance, Pedagogy, and Educational Psychology and three postgraduate courses in Philosophy of Music Education, Multicultural Music Education, and Comprehensive Research on Music Education Skills at the School of Arts of the North University of China. In recent years, she has published more than ten papers in Chinese publications and one monograph; the vocal music course she taught was rated as a university-level excellent vocal music course in 2015; she has held many teacher-student concerts; hosted and participated in more than ten scientific research projects. In May 2019, she was hired as a judge in the Shanxi Province Division of the Golden Bell Award Vocal Competition, a large-scale vocal competition in China.
