Rachel, a 14-year-old freshman at North Gwinnett High School in Georgia, has been passionate about the violin since she started taking lessons at the age of 11. She currently studies with Dr. Cindy Park.
Throughout her middle school years, Rachel has been actively involved in various musical activities. She was a member of the school Honor Orchestra from 2021 to 2024 at North Gwinnett Middle School along with participating in solo and ensemble events. She also played with the Kendall Youth Orchestra from 2022 to 2023. She had the honor of playing in the Gwinnett County Youth Symphony in 2023 and 2024 as well, highlighting her talent amongst other student violinists in her entire county including high school students. Additionally, Rachel was selected for the All-State Orchestra for 2 years in a row from 2022 to 2024; this year, she excelled as the second violin second chair.
Rachel’s journey with the violin has taught her the values of dedication, hard work, and resilience. She is excited to continue her musical journey, eager to learn, and grow through new experiences and opportunities.
