Raymond Hou, 16, is from Montgomery, Alabama, and currently studies piano with Dr. Ronald Shinn. He has won 7 international awards and 14 first place awards in music competitions including the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition, International Keyboard Odyssiad & Festival, Lee University International Piano Competition, the West Virginia International Piano Competition, the Sejong Music Piano Competition, the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition, Southern Division MTNA Competition, Alabama MTNA Competition, the Nashville Steinway Competition, the Gulf Coast Steinway Competition, the UAH Piano Competition, AMTA Music Competition, the Bush Hills Music Club Scholarship Competition, the Helen Boykin Piano Competition, the Donna P. Shugart Sonata Competition, Elbert Lingo Keyboard Artist Competition, and ACES Competition. He made his orchestral debut with the GCSS Symphony Orchestra in 2019. Raymond has also had masterclasses with pianists including Anderson & Roe, Natalya Antonova, and Hsing-Ay Hsu. Raymond also has enjoyed attending summer music institutes including the International Institute for Young Musicians, International Keyboard Odyssiad & Festival, the Lee University International Piano Festival & Competition, and the Piano and Chamber Music Institute.
