Rebecca Sun

Rebecca Sun, 16, began piano at the age of 4 under Dr. Ivona Kaminska. Since then, she has cultivated her love for piano and music, including playing accompaniment for her school choir in middle school. As an experienced pianist and tutor, she also provides guidance for younger piano students. Rebecca has recently received first place in the 2022 American Protege Concerto competition, first place in the 2022 American Protege Piano and Strings competition, first place in the2021 Crescendo International Music Competition, silver medal in the 2021 North American Virtuoso International Music Competition, gold medal in the 2021 Global International Music Competition, honorable mention in the 2021 Outstanding Artist Piano Competition, gold medal in the 2021 SIPF Virtuoso Festival, and first prize in the 2020 American Protégé Piano and Strings competition. As a younger musician, she was a gold medalist in the 2015 Seattle International Piano Competition. Outside of piano, Rebecca enjoys her studies as a junior in high school and has a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
