Reina Kimura, age 15, is a sophomore at Crystal Springs Uplands School in Hillsborough, California. Over the years, Reina received a number of recognitions, including from US International Music Competition, US Open Music Competition, Bay Area Piano Competition, Ad Libitum International Piano Competition, and Colors of Chopin International Piano Competition. She has been selected to perform at the Junior Bach Festival (JBF) seven times, most recently in 2024. At age 5, she was the youngest award recipient at JBF and was mentioned in San Francisco Classical Voice. She achieved the Advanced Level of the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) Certificate of Merit program by 2022 while in middle school and has been invited to perform at the California State MTAC Convention multiple times.
