Rosalinda has passed all ten levels of the Certificate of Merit (CM) State program with “excellent” scores in all five disciplines (written theory, ear-training, sight-reading, piano performance, technique) and was selected to perform at the MTAC Virtual Panel Honors Recital last July (only 36 students were chosen from California), Convention and CM Honors Recital (2014 – 2020). She has received CM State Honor Awards in 2018-2020. Rosalinda is a winner and a recipient of: – $1000 Music Scholarship from Westside Committee of the Los Angeles Philharmonic – $300 Piano Scholarship from LACESMA (Los Angeles City Elementary Schools Music Association) (2015) – $200 Music Scholarship from LA Unified Schools District PTA (2016, 2017) – $200 Music Scholarship from the Westside LA Philharmonic Scholarship Committee (2018, 2019) – 2nd place winner of the Palisades Symphony Concerto Competition in 2019 – 1st place at SYMF (Southwestern Youth Music Festival), Baroque category (2017) and 4th place – Contemporary category in 2018 – 1st place winner of the MTNA-CAMPT Contemporary Music Competition in 2020 – Winner of Southern California Junior Bach Festival WLA Branch (2016 – 2020) and Regional Competition (2017-2019) – Honorable Mention Award at Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Honors Competition (2018) – 2nd place winner of the MTNA-CAMPT Sonata Competition (complete Sonata category) in 2019 – passed MTNA-CAMPT Piano Auditions, Level 10, and was invited to perform at the Honors Recital on February 3rd, 2019 at Harbor College. – chosen to perform at the Daniel Pearl’s Memorial Concert sponsored by MTAC/WLA MSSL (Music Service Student League) in Santa Monica in 2019 – selected to play Beethoven’s Piano Concerto in C Minor, No. 3 for her school holiday program in 2018. – before current lockdown Rosalinda was going to perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto with Brentwood High School orchestra on May 1, 2020. She is a member of the Brentwood High School orchestra and a chamber group where she plays violin. Rosalinda was chosen to participate in a master class with a head of keyboard studies and a professor of piano at UCLA, Inna Faliks and a concert pianist/composer Daniel Lessner. Both events were organized and sponsored by Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC-WLA Branch) in 2018, 2019, 2020. She attended the Arrowbear resident music camp 2018, 2019, and was a resident member of a three-week Montecito International Music Festival in 2019. Rosalinda also performs in over twenty piano concerts each year, including, as part of her contribution to her community, at local retirement senior centers in Santa Monica and West LA.
