Roy Byun is 10 years old , a pianist from Irvine, California . He began playing the piano since three years old. Over the past three years, under the guidance of Young -Sook Kang , Roy has been participating and achieving awards in numerous piano competitions.
He won the first place winner at Musical Arts Competition and performed at Nixon Library in 2024 . He also won gold medal at the Concordia Keyboard Day and second place winner from the American Protégés international competition and performed at Carnegie hall in 2023. He won gold medals at MTAC branch theme festival from 2022-24 and a division winner in 2022. And he was awarded as a branch winner at Southern California Junior Bach Festival in 2022-2024. He also plays the violin and harp. He enjoys playing soccer and solving Rubik’s cubes in extra time.
