Ryan Cheng, started playing piano when he was 5 years old. In addition to being selected to perform at Carnegie Hall numerous times through the Great Neck Music Conservatory High Honors Recital auditions, he completed his level 6 NYSSMA exam with a perfect score and was a finalist for the All State Piano Showcase in Rochester, NY. Ryan also participated in the NAMM’s Worldful of Pianos, part of NAMM’s Believe In Music Week, where he and over 100 pianists across 18 countries united to play Mozart’s Rondo Alla Turca, live, over a Zoom call. He has played the violin in school since 5th grade and is currently in the 7th grade orchestra. Ryan has enjoyed studying music by Mozart, Debussy, Beethoven, Khachaturian, Chopin, etc. Outside of music, Ryan likes to stay active by playing tennis and ping pong. He has placed first at multiple ping pong tournaments.
