Sabrina Jade Li

Sabrina Li is studying piano under Dr. Yu Carole Liu. Since she started playing the piano at age six, she has participated in multiple competitions and won various prizes. She attended the 2014 CAMPT Spotlight Concert, and earned the bronze medal in the 2014 CAMPT Sonata/Sonatina Festival. In 2015, she was a San Diego branch winner of the South California Junior Bach Festival, the 2nd place winner in the South California Mozart Youth Festival, and the 1st place winner in both the 10th Chinese Piano Piece Competition (level 6) and in the MTAC Sonata Contest (level 7). In 2016, she was the 1st place winner in the 11th Chinese Piano Piece Competition (level 7) and a finalist in the Los Angeles Young Musician International Competition. In 2017, she was the 1st place winner in the 12th Chinese Piano Piece Competition (level 8) and 3rd place winner in the MTAC Sonata Contest (level 10). In 2018, she was the 1st place winner in both the Southern California Mozart Youth Festival (level 10) and the 13th Chinese Piano Piece Competition (level 9). In 2019 she was 1st place winner in both the 2019 MTAC Sonata Contest (level 11) and in the 14th Chinese Piano Piece Competition (level 10), her fifth consecutive year winning 1st place in the Chinese Piano Piece Competition, and a San Diego branch winner in the South California Junior Bach Festival. In 2021, she won the 3rd prize in the 15-18 age group in the Bay Area Piano Competition, was a San Diego branch winner and winner of Region V in the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, and received the California State Honor of the Certificate of Merit Advanced level and was invited to the Certificate of Merit Convention Recital. In 2022, she won 1st Prize in the International Piano and Strings Competition and Pelican International Music Competition for Young Artists, and received the Panel Honors Alternate award. Outside of competing, she is also involved in tutoring for piano and is part of the service club Melodies for Remedies that uses music to help others through events like charity and benefit concerts.
