
Sadie Walker, 18, discovered her love for music over a decade ago when she started taking violin lessons at the age of 6. Since then, she has been Principal 2nd of Vivace SummerFest Orchestra and Utah Youth Chamber Orchestra and participated in the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute with the Fry Street Quartet. Sadie has received highest ratings from the National Federation of Music Club in Senior Concerto for 3 years in a row. Sadie loves performing in her community and has performed with One Voice Children’s Choir String Ensemble and Children’s Ballet Theater Orchestra. She had the opportunity to participate in the IX Encuentro Internacional de Música 2022 Festival in Barcelona with Music with Purpose String Ensemble as a featured soloist, including performances at the Sagrada Familia and Basilica de Santa Maria del Pi. She has also performed in Normandy, Paris, and Avignon with Sotto Voce Strings. In 2023, Sadie soloed in Carnegie Hall as a winner of the American Protege Strings Competition. She also received a honorable mention from the Vienna International Music Competition. Past instructors for Sadie include William Hagen, Gerald Elias, Elizabeth Faidley, and Asheley Watabe.
