Samantha Weintraub (mezzo-soprano) loved to sing from a very early age and joined her first choir at age nine. She participated in many musical theater productions, but then moved towards studying classical music privately, primarily with Professor Cynthia Kortman Westphal. Her solo performances have included regular participation in MSMVA Solo & Ensemble Festival since 7th grade and private recitals. Sam attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp for three summers and participated in the Blue Lake International Choir in 2018, traveling to France, Italy, Belgium and Germany and staying with host families. During her four years in high school, she participated in Bel Canto, ACapella, and Chamber Choirs as well as the Harmonics student-run a capella group. She is currently a freshman in the DePaul School of Music studying Vocal Performance working with Dr. Viktoria Vizin.
