Samuel McBride Gaines

I started taking piano lessons when I was 4. I studied with Donna Reed until I graduated high school. I current study with Kevin Chance at the University of Alabama. I have participated in many festivals and competitions. Notably, I placed 2nd in Mississippi’s 2020 MTNA Piano Solo competition (senior division), 2nd in the 2018 Mississippi Valley State University Young Artists Competition, 1st in the 2018 MTNA Pre-College Piano Concerto competition (senior division), within the top three in the MMTA Pre-College Piano Competition Finals in every year from 2015 to 2019, and 2nd in the BMTG Intercontinental Piano Competition.
