Samuil McArthur is an energetic 8-year old who loves practicing the piano and exploring new repertoire. He has performed in Masterclasses and recitals since he was 4 years old. Most recently, he received first prize (diploma for excellent performance) at the 2022 International Youth Music Competition “Hopes, Talents, Masters,” in Dobrich, Bulgaria. In 2023, he was selected as one of 12-semi finalists (Lv. 3) in the international “Music Lights the Way” Piano Competition in Canada. In the same year, he was also selected as the first place winner in the Yamaha Piano Competition in Denver, CO, U.S.A.
Previously, Samuil was awarded first place in both the 2022 and 2021 Greeley Youth Piano Competition (ages 5-7) in Colorado, U.S.A., and received the Superior Rating at the 2022, 2021, and 2020 Fort Collins Music Festival. He has also performed Haydn’s C Major piano concerto with chamber orchestra. In addition to piano, he enjoys chess, karate, reading books, and performing science experiments.
