Sarah Kang

Sarah Kang, a sophomore at Yorba Linda High School, began playing the cello at 8 years old and is currently studying with Lila Yang. She performed with the SCSBOA All-Southern Orchestra for 4 years, the California All-State Orchestra for 2 years, and annually represented her city in the Yorba Linda State of the City event. Additionally, she has performed with various orchestras on prestigious stages, including the Richard Nixon Library Concert Hall (2022, 2023), Segerstrom Concert Hall (2023), and Saroyan Theatre (2022). She also participates in Quarantet, a local ensemble that provides music for hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and other organizations. Committed to social causes, Sarah teaches music to underprivileged children through Love in Music. Her collaboration with MPAK for their fundraising gala exemplifies her commitment to bringing attention to the challenges faced by orphans and North Korean refugees.
