Sarah Lee began her studies on the cello at the age of 8 after playing violin for three years. Since then, she has been active in a number of international events and competitions including first place in both the 2021 Golden Classic Music Awards and the 2019 Little Mozart’s Competition held by Crescendo International Competitions, second place in the 2021 Crescendo International Competition and has performed a recital at the 2019 Cello Intensive held at Interlochen Center for the Arts. After participating in the String Preparatory Academy (SPA) programme at the University of Michigan for three consecutive years, she continued to pursue her achievements by performing in the Michigan All-State Orchestra of 2017, 18, 20, and 21. She is currently in her second year of being a part of both the Michigan Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) and Detroit Symphony Youth Orchestra (DSYO), and studies with Dr. Caroline Kim in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
