Semi Jung is a fifteen-year-old incoming sophomore at Mission San Jose High School. She began playing the viola at age 10 and has served as the principal violist of her junior high school’s advanced orchestra, the 2022 California All-State JHS Concert Orchestra, and GSYO’s Camilla Kolchinsky Orchestra for the 2022-2023 season. She also placed first in the 2022 US International Open Music Competition. Next summer Semi will tour Spain and France with Golden State Youth Orchestra’s Symphony Orchestra.
