
Shinhye Choi values a balanced approach as a pianist and educator. She is currently a member of the Korea Association of Piano Pedagogy and taught piano to students for over a decade both in the United States and South Korea. She taught piano at the Baptist Theological University Lifelong Education Center and showcased her talent at renowned venues, including the Seoul Arts Center and the Sejong Culture and Arts Center in South Korea. Her achievements include winning the Seoul Music Competition, the Daejin University Competition, and the Gimpo University Competition. She obtained her Master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy under the guidance of Dr. Polischuk at Michigan State University (MSU) and her Bachelor’s degree in Piano from Hanyang University, South Korea. She also graduated with a Major in Piano from Kaywon High School of Arts. During her time at MSU, she was selected to participate in and perform at a Master Class led by Professor Wha Kyung Byun from the New England Conservatory. She was awarded music scholarships throughout her studies at MSU, and she also received full academic scholarships in recognition of her outstanding grades both in university and high school. Additionally, upon graduating from Hanyang University, she earned Summa Cum Laude honors along with a music teacher certificate.
