Shuangjunya Zhang

I started piano at the age of 5.5. When I was 7, I won the First place of the American Protege International Music Talent Competition and I was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. It was my first international competition. Since then, I have won many other international competitions. Last year, I started lessons with Dr. Jenny Q Chai. This is my new journey of learning piano. I’m improving my techniques, developing my confidence, and finding happiness from practicing various pieces. I like piano, not only because the musical sound expresses my emotions and feelings, but also because I get connected to terrific composers and young talented pianists around the world.
