Siah Shin

Siah Shin, born in Seoul, South Korea, is a Sophomore at Seoul International School with a deep passion for the violin, which she has been playing since the age of five.
At just seven years old, Siah made her debut at Mozart Hall, setting the stage for an impressive musical journey. After moving to Shanghai, she quickly established herself as a key figure in her school’s advanced strings group, Allegro Strings, serving as concertmaster. From 2020 to 2022, she held the same position with the DCS Orchestra, where she performed frequently as a soloist and also contributed as a violinist for the live orchestra in the school play. Outside of school, she joined a string quartet where she was invited to perform in various events in hospitals, department stores, and concert halls.
Upon returning to Seoul, Siah continued her leadership role in music as the concertmaster of the Middle School Strings at Seoul International School from 2022 to 2023. Here, she led the group and performed as a soloist, while also participating in various ensembles.
Currently, Siah is an active member of her school’s numerous musical programs. As a member of the High School Strings and High School Symphony Orchestra, she has performed solos, duets, and quintets.
She is a participant in the annual Association for Music in International Schools (AMIS) Solo and Ensemble Festival, where she received the highest ranking, I+, for three consecutive years (2022-2024).
