Simon Philip Olivares was born on June 12, 1997 in Hollywood, FL. Forest City, IA is where he grew up and started his musical career. His first collaborative music experience was serving as organist/pianist for the United Methodist Churches of Forest City and surrounding area. He also has served as a collaborative pianist for the Forest City Community Schools. He currently serves as organist and pianist for the Maplewood United Methodist Church and collaborative keyboardist for Madrigali et. al, directed by Dr. Matthew Hardin in Omaha, Nebraska. His teachers include; Bonnie Kuhns, Dr. Kristin Jonina Taylor for piano, Dr. Timothy Schmidt and Dr. Marie Rubis Bauer for harpsichord. He is pursuing a masters degree at University of Omaha, Nebraska in Keyboard performance and serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Music Theory department for Dr. Darren Pettit for the School of Music.
