
Siyi Xu started learning piano when she was 5. She has won several prizes in piano performance competitions, including twice the first prize in the United States International Duo Piano Competition in 2022 and 2023; first prizes in the 2024 Charleston Spring Music Competition, 19th Century Music Competition, Summer Music Competition (Duet), and the 2025 Winter Music Competition; the Gold medals in the 2024 Classical Viennese Festival and the 2024 Bach Festival organized by the Seattle Piano International Festival (SIPF); the first prize in the American Protégé International Romantic 2024 Music Competition; and the first place in 2024 Barum International Online Piano competition. She studied piano with Ms. Yunqing Zhang for four years and she started studying with Dr. Ivona Kaminska Bowlby in October 2023. In addition to her love for music and piano, Siyi is an enthusiastic reader, a devoted Harry Potter fan, and enjoys swimming, performing in theatre, and playing badminton.
