Violin student Soel Han is closing into her fourth year of violin lessons. She started at kindergarten, but she took a break after her first year, as she was starting off on Suzuki one. She restarted violin at 12 years old because of her middle school orchestra, and was placed as concert master in one of the school performances. She started her violin lessons again in the early middle of her school year continuing from Suzuki 1 to Suzuki 2 and skipping Suzuki 3 to play Charles Dancla’s Air Varie No.5. Her strong interest in violin started off at 7th grade making her more determined to improve on the violin. During her 7th grade year, she went over Kreisler Praeludium and Allegro and played it for her school talent show. She participated in Honors Orchestra as second chair of second violin. Then, she moved to Suzuki 4 midway through and skipped to Violin Concerto No.3 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. She went over the concerto with her teacher, but she was not able master it as she moved to Georgia. She met a new teacher in 8th grade, and continued to participate events such as LGPE getting a 1, and Honors Orchestra both as concert master this year. She currently is and was her school’s concert master and principle second violin. She restarted the concerto and worked to improve it up to this event.
