Sofia Vigil Dombeck is a 16 year old harpist from the California Bay Area. She began playing the instrument in 3rd grade and currently studies under Jennifer Ellis and Samantha Mulgrew. In 2023, she joined the San Jose Youth Symphony’s Harp Ensemble, where she performs in the high school division and helps coach the younger individuals within the group. During the summers, she takes part in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s summer intensive program, collaborating with other musicians to create something truly incredible. She has also participated in her high school’s orchestral program in which she arranged the music given to her to fit with the harp, as there were no specific harp parts available. Music is extremely important to her as it allows for the expression of true creativity and passion and she truly loves it.
