Sophia Cheng, from Salt Lake City, Utah, began playing piano from the age of 5. She has been a dedicated student of Ya Liu and is passionate about sharing her music interpretation to others. Sophia has participated in and won many regional, national, and international competitions, including winning 1st prize at the Triumph Music Festival Rachmaninoff Competition and 2nd prize at the 2023 Enkor International Chamber Music Competition. In addition to competing, Sophia loves to spread music to others through playing piano to volunteer at local senior homes and hospitals.
