Sophia Gao was born in 2012 in California, United States. She fell in love with the traditional Chinese musical instrument – Guzheng when she first saw it during a visit to China when she was seven years old. Under guidance from a teacher in China, Sophia persists on taking classes online by Zooming meeting. She was the first prize winner for IMKA Music Competition 2022. She has numerous performances for schools, churches, associations, community and city events. Sophia enjoys sharing music with everyone!
