Tieran Holmes is a flutist and piccoloist originally from McLean, Virginia. She is currently pursuing a dual degree in flute performance and instrumental music education at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, & Dance, where she studies with her teacher, Amy Porter. At the university, she has participated in the University Philharmonia Orchestra, the University Symphony Band, the Contemporary Directions Ensemble, and the chamber music program. She has attended the Interlochen Summer Arts Camp twice and has received the Maddy Summer Artist Award, the highest honor a music student can obtain at camp. She has performed in masterclasses with Linda Chesis, Sharon Sparrow, Jeffery Zook, and Matthew Roitstein.
