
Tristan’s remarkable journey through piano competitions showcases a consistent pattern of success. It all began in 2017 with a Silver Medal at the Golden Key Music Festival and a 1st place triumph at the YMIC Metropolitan Solo and Chamber Music Festival. Building on this momentum, 2018 brought a 3rd place finish in the Henle Piano Competition, a win at the NVMTA Bach Baroque Festival, and a Gold Medal at the Golden Key Music Festival.
In 2019, Tristan earned an Honorable Mention at the NVMTA Piano Achievement Awards Competition and secured 1st place at the MSMTA Gertrude S. Brown Memorial Piano Concerto Competition. The winning streak extended into 2020 with multiple victories, including 1st place in the Charleston International Music Competition, the Global Online Great Composer Competition/The Art of Piano, and the NVMTA Robert Spencer Concerto Competition. Tristan also claimed 3rd place in the AAMS International Competition and achieved Finalist status in the KF Chopin Competition for Young Pianists.
The success story continued in 2021 with an Honorable Mention at the NVMTA Piano Achievement Awards Competition and a 3rd place finish in the AAMS International Competition. In 2022, Tristan received an Honorable Mention in the Richmond Symphony League Student Concerto Competition, leading up to the most recent accomplishment of 1st place in the NVMTA Concerto Festival in 2023. This chronological progression underscores Tristan’s exceptional talent and unwavering dedication to piano performance.
