My name is Ulyana Koshechkina, I have been taking piano lessons since I was 6 years old. I studied with Elena Kurinets, and for the last 4 years I am a student of Alla Fabrikant. In 2021, I won first place at the Florida Keys International Music competition and as a special prize, I had a masterclass with professor Rena Sherishevskaya. In 2018, I became a student of Miami Arts Charter School studying in the percussion department led by Dr. Sutton. With my percussion ensemble, we performed in NAFME national conference in Maryland, and in FMEA performance in Tampa convention center. On April 4th, 2023, I performed as piano soloist Concerto Grosso by Bloch with a string orchestra. In college, I am planning to study piano as a major. Just a week ago I participated in the 5th Florida Young Artists International Piano Competition, where I earned Honorable Mention and the Pianist Elena Ichikawa Award for a Baroque Work for performance of Bach’s Prelude and Fugue No. 2 in C Minor.
