Valerie Loo

Valerie is 13 years old and is an 8th grader at The King’s Academy, Sunnyvale, CA. She has been studying harp with Alexandra Perdew for 3.5 years. Besides harp, Valerie also plays the violin and piano. Outside of school, she is a church keyboardist. She loves spending her free time volunteering in the local community and takes care of young pre-schoolers on Sundays at her local church. Valerie has participated in several music competitions which includes Hong Kong International Harp Competition, Arpademia, VAYA International Music Festival and most recently awarded 2nd prize in the 2nd International Competition for Celtic Harp Arpademia. Her dreams is to utilize the power of music as a means of therapy to help with the sick and elderly.
