I have participated in Boston University’s Tanglewood Institute Oboe Workshop where I studied under John Ferrillo, Robert Sheena, and Mark McEwen (players in the Boston Symphony Orchestra and professors at the New England Conservatory of Music). I will be attending BUTI’s renowned Wind Ensemble this year. I was also invited to play in the YOLA National program, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. I was granted Principal Oboe at YOLA National and was also appointed into YOLA National’s Principal Player Woodwind Quintet. At Pleasanton, I am the principal oboist of the Young People’s Symphony Orchestra. I also study chamber, guitar class, and music theory at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Precollege Program. I was also invited and nominated to participate in SJSU’s Honors Wind Ensemble by my band director in which I played as Principal Oboe. At school, I enjoy playing in my school’s (audition only) Wind Ensemble 1, in which I have performed at Carnegie Hall (2023 New York International Music Festival).
