Vivian Tang, a 7th grader at Cabin John Middle School, began playing the violin at the age of six and a half. She currently serves as the concertmaster for her school’s advanced orchestra and is the associate concertmaster of the MCYO Young Artists ensemble. Vivian has earned first-place awards in prestigious competitions, including the 2022 Charleston Romantic Music Competition and the 2023 Great Composers Competition. She also excelled as a top performer in the WMTA Judge Recital and is currently top 6 of the All State Junior Orchestra. Beyond her musical pursuits, Vivian enjoys playing soccer for her MSI Classic team, where she thrives in competitive matches against other teams in the Classic League.
