Vivian Tang

I am Vivian Tang, and I am ten years old now. I started playing violin when I was six and half years old. My current teacher is Lya Stern, and I have studied with her for two years. I have been in the top violin positions in the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra (MCYO) for three consecutive years. I am also the first violinist in a string trio provided by the MCYO Chamber Musical Program (CMP). My favorite musician is Itzhak Perlman because he is a very prestigious and talented violinist, who can play hard pieces three times as fast and still sustain a beautiful tone. He motivates me to practice harder to improve myself faster. One of my favorite pieces is the Concerto for Two Violins in D minor by Bach, and I love how the sounds blend together.
