Vivienne Chen, from northern California, is an upcoming freshman at Quarry Lane School. Vivienne’s piano career started when she was 5 years old. She has been in the school’s orchestra and band since sixth grade and has enjoyed being the selected player. She has participated in the 2019 and 2020 United States Open Music Competition (USOMC) and has received many prizes. Her first piano teacher was Lamae Loo, the founder of the USOMC. Vivienne’s current teacher is Mrs. Lewis, her favorite teacher. Though she has not been in many competitions, she still enjoys piano music, both romantic and contemporary.
