Wenru Yang was born in Qingdao, China. Wenru began studying piano at age of 5. In 2015, she graduated from school of music at Ocean University of China and got her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. In 2017, she came to George Mason University studying Piano performance under the guidance of Dr. Anna Balakerskaia, and got her Master of Music degree in 2019. Currently, she is studying DMA program in Piano performance and also selected as a graduate teaching assistant at George Mason University.
