When I was five years old, I visited a piano warehouse and heard for the first time what an amazing voice the piano has. I looked longingly at a old but nice upright and after some persuading, my parents decided to buy it for me. Since then I have enjoyed learning the instrument, progressing through the grades and playing at several music competitions such as Leamington Spa, Dudley and Birmingham and have won on several occassions. I am a Romantic, and especially enjoy playing pieces by French composers such as Debussy and Ravel, but Chopin is my favourite. I achieved Grade 8 with distinction when I was eleven and I am now working hard and preparing for my diploma exam later this year. I currently attend Rugby School as a Music Scholar and play the pipe organ and several percussion instruments too!
