Xun Xu

Xun is a violinist and conductor, currently in pursuit of a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance, accompanied by a related area of study in Orchestral Conducting at the esteemed University of Nebraska-Lincoln, having completed his Master of Music in Violin Performance there as well. Prior to his present endeavors, Xun earned a Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance the China Conservatory of Music and had graduate study at Western Michigan University.

Throughout his career, Xun has performed in a number of capacities, having served as the Visiting Artist in Residence at South Dakota State University, the Violin Artist at the Boulder Bach Festival in Boulder, Colorado, and the violinist for the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra. Before coming to the US, he also held the concertmaster position at the China Youth Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, a section violinist position in the Peking Sinfonietta Orchestra, and conducted the Beijing Lawyer Association Orchestra in Beijing, China.

Furthermore, Xun was recently featured in a broadcast interview on Xuzhou City Radio and Television station, where he and his wife, Helena, shared the details of their musical journey. The interview was broadcast on June 11th, 2022, at 12:30 pm (Chinese Standard Time).
