Yejoon Kwon, 17, lives in Los Angeles, California, where she studies music with Henry Gronnier at the Colburn School. She has won prizes in the Seoul Nationwide Student Music Encouragement Competition, Educlassic Journal’s 21st Nationwide Music Competition, and the Korea International Music Educators Association Solo & Ensemble Festival. She has participated in masterclasses with Markus Placci, Kirill Troussov, Eszter Haffner, and Fabiola Kim. In the summer of 2023, she attended Center Stage Strings at the University of Michigan. When she is not performing on a concert stage, Yejoon enjoys playing violin at her church and at nursing homes. Outside of music, she loves outdoor activities such as horseback riding, figure skating, running, and biking.
