Yifan Evan Ding

Yifan “Evan” Ding is a ninth grader at Boston Latin School in Massachusetts. As a young musician, Evan has performed at Zankel Hall and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center, Victor Borge Hall, Lincoln Center, John Knowles Paine Hall at Harvard University, University of Padua in Italy, and many others. In May 2023, Evan performed Beethoven Concerto No. 5 as a soloist with Immaculata Symphony in Pennsylvania. In 2023, he was invited to perform at The National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Poland, Solitar Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, and Petit Palau de la Música Catalana Concert Hall in Barcelona, Spain. The honors and awards he has received since 2022 include First Place Prize with perfect score in Crescendo International Competition, Wanda Paik Award by New England Piano Teachers Association, Second Place Prize in Bay State Piano Competition by Massachusetts Music Teachers Association, Silver Medal in International Spring Festival by Musicale, First Place Prize in American Protégé Piano and String Competition, Winner of American Fine Arts Festival, Grand Prix Prize in Music-fest Rising Talents Festival, First Place Prize in American Music Talent Competition of American Youth Musician Union, First Place Prizes in UK’s Glory Int’l Piano Competition and Glory Int’l Classic Music Competition, First Prize in UK’s Great Composer Competition the music of Eastern Europe and the Music of Germany and Austria, Third Prize in Poland’s Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition, Grand Prix Winner in New York Concert Festival International Competition, First Prize in Salzburg and Barcelona Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competitions. Evan also plays violin and viola in New England Conservatory Prep Orchestra. He is an active figure skater in Boston Skating Club. He volunteers regularly in local communities.
