My name is Yilin Xia, I am 12 years old. I was born in Shanghai, China. I moved to the United States at the age of six, and began my piano education with Dr. Fan Zhang in Ohio. I am currently studying with Dr. Sini Zheng in California. My interest of sharing music to others made me perform at recitals and competitions. This year, I won 1st Place at the SF International Innovative Music Competition and 2nd Place for King’s Peak International Music Competition. I received awards from National Federation of Music 2018-2021 Piano Solo, and MTAC Baroque festival 2021. My favorite composer is Frédéric Chopin.
