Lily is a dedicated sixth-grade pianist who has been studying with Dr. Janet Yu since she was six and a half years old. Over the years, she has developed strong technique, musical sensitivity, and a genuine love for performance. Lily entered the final round of the The Princeton Festival Piano Competition and won Second Place at the Charleston 20th Century Music Competition. She also earned the ABRSM Grade 6 Piano Performance Certificate, passing with Distinction.
At school, Lily has accompanied the school chorus and is currently an active member of the school jazz band, where she enjoys exploring diverse musical styles and rhythms. In addition to piano, she plays the flute, further broadening her musical experiences. Beyond music, Lily is an accomplished ballet dancer who has won multiple dance competitions. She also enjoys painting, expressing her creativity through both visual art and music.
