Australian saxophonist Yo-yo Su is a DMA candidate (ABD) at the University of Iowa supported by the Iowa Performance Fellow with stipend while serving as the Teaching Assistant to Dr. Kenneth Tse.
Alumni of the CRR Montpellier, CRR Versailles and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and the Netherlands String Quartet Academy, he has been a laureate of numerous national and international competitions, notably the 3MBS young performer of the year award, Dutch Classical Talent Award, Boris Papandopulo music competition and was a semi-finalist of the International Adolphe Sax competition, the International Jean-Marie Londeix Saxophone Competition and the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition.
