Yuchi Sun

Yuchi Sun, clarinetist Yuchi Sun is a Chinese clarinetist and was the principal clarinet of the Nanjing Artist Institute Orchestra from 2013-2017.At the same time he also performed in the Nanjing Philharmonic Orchestra. He has worked as a clarinet teacher in many middle and primary schools in Nanjing, cultivating a student-centered approach for different levels of students who were full of enthusiasm towards music. He participated in the Beijing international clarinet art festival in 2014 and Chongqing clarinet art festival in 2015. In 2017 he held a chamber music recital in Nanjing and performed Brahms’s Clarinet Trio and Quartet. In 2018-2019, he participated in many performances in Boston Symphony Hall , MIT and Jordan Hall with the Boston Conservatory Orchestra. In the summer of 2019, he was invited to participate in Music from Salem, a chamber Music festival in New York state, and cooperated with many well-known musicians. Between 2020 and 2022, he held two solo recitals and chamber music recital in Cincinnati. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University of the Arts, and Master’s degree at Boston Conservatory at Berklee with Professor Yaoguang Zhai, principal clarinet in Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. He is currently pursuing a DMA degree at University of Cincinnati- College Conservatory of Music with Professor Ronald Aufmann , Bass clarinet in Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Professor Pavel Vinnitsky, Associate Clarinetist in New York Philharmonic and Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
