Yuma Matsuoka

Yuma Matsuoka

Violinist Yuma Matsuoka is a freshman at Carnegie Mellon University. He has played the violin for fourteen years, and has been Laurie Sonsino’s student for six of those years. He has played in the Philadelphia Sinfonia, and has been associate concertmaster of the Delaware County Youth Orchestra, where he has received the Graduating Senior Award. Yuma has also led the Wayne Art Center Orchestra, as well as his own trio. He currently plays in the Carnegie Mellon All-University Orchestra.
