Yunona Tabala

Yunona Tabala, soprano, is an aspiring opera singer from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Her musical journey brought her to the United States of America where in May 2021 she completed her artist diploma in vocal performance under guidance of Dr. Joshua May at Columbus State University Schwob School of Music. She has recently been featured as Mademoiselle Silberklang in the production of “Der Schauspieldirector” at Columbus Sttate University. Ms. Tabala is a recognized award recipient from several regional and national competitions, including Georgia MTNA, Georgia NATS, Utah Vocal Arts Academy Aria Competition and National Opera Association’s Collegiate Opera Scenes Competition. She has taken part in several national young artist programs, including Utah Vocal Arts Academy Summer Festival with Dr. Hurtado as well as DIY Summer Program for Classical Singers with Cindy Sadler. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B. M. in Violin Performance from Columbus State University in 2018. She has currently completed her Artist Diploma in Vocal Performance at the same school. For her further studies in Vocal performance and Opera, Ms. Tabala will be attending Longy School of Music of Bard College, where she is excited to join the studio of Dr. Dana Lynne Varga, beginning Fall 2021.
