Yuwen He is currently 15 years old and studies piano with Dr. Paul Nitsch of Queens University. She began playing the piano at age 6. She has played for numerous competitions, and has won first place in the Charlotte Piano Teacher Forum Concerto competition in 2019, 2021, and 2023. She was also a finalist in the Charlotte Symphony Young Artists Competition in 2021. In the winter of 2023, she was invited to play at Carnegie Hall for the Golden Classical Music Competition and won first prize. Outside of piano, she enjoys playing golf, reading books, and spending time with friends and family.
