Zachary Andrey Barshay

Zachary has been playing piano since the age of 12. What started as a self-taught hobby, turned into a loving passion for piano, and music. Some of his favorite pieces include Chopin – Ballade No.1 and No.4, Saint-Sean’s Piano Concerto No.2, Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No.2 and No.4, and Mahler Symphony No.5. When not playing piano, Zachary is actively involved in his high school’s marching band, concert band, and winds band. He was selected to participate in Illinois Music Education Association for Honors band in 2023. In Zachary’s spare time, he enjoys running for his high school Track, and Cross Country teams, as well as being an active member of Boy Scouts of America, holding the current rank of life Scout.
