Zara Tyagi Biswas, age 9, is a First Class Honors student at the Royal Conservatory of Music, where she secured first rank and gold medal in the Northeast region of USA in 2021, with an invitation to perform at the Merkin Hall, Kaufman Music Center in New York. She has won multiple International music competitions, with performance at the Zankel Hall of Carnegie Hall (1st prize, Young Mozart’s) and an invitation to perform at the Vrsac International Chamber Music Festival 2023 in Serbia (3rd prize, Music in the Vineyards). Zara is also training in Hindustani Classical vocals under Pandit Rattan Mohan Sharma, lineage of Pandit Jasraj of the Mewati Gharana and sings with Boston Children’s Chorus at Boston Symphony Hall, Strand Theatre, Arnold Arboretum and more. Beyond music, Zara is interested in dance, theater, reading, coding and nature. She is multilingual, fluent in 3 languages, including English, Hindi and Bengali.
